TN: 2013 Tercero Grenache Larner Vineyard

Funky nose - underbrush, black pepper and plums with just a hint of cola on the nose. Really interesting palate, sweet plum fruit, nice texture, balancing acidity and a ton of spices - hints of pepper, lavender, oregano and rosemary. Lovely wine. Way to go Larry.

Thanks for the note, Jud. This is a wine that I am now just releasing - may seem crazy that I’m just releasing 2013s, but this was 100% whole cluster foot stomped by me, fermented on their stems, and then aged for 34 months in 4+ year old French oak barrels, unracked until just before bottling. It’s still such a young wine, but I’m psyched how it shows on day 2 and 3 right now - to me, better than on day 1.

Cheers!
