TN: Ceritas and Clenenden

TN: 2017 Ceritas Marena Chardonnay: Very, very lean. Good acid, minerals, some greenish fruit, but a little short at the end. Very little hint of that Chard bitterness/medicinal thing that doesn't sit well with me, so that was good. I could detect no oak. I can see the appeal for some, but this was just a little too lean, undeveloped and thin for me for the price paid. 87pts.

TN: 2018 Clenenden Aligoté Santa Maria Valley: Little softer, plusher white. Some nice bitterness on the mid palate that I liked. Round and soft, slightly bigger white. Really enjoyed it. 90pts.
