2004 Loring Wine Company Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Sta. Rita Hills (1/26/2020)
Consumed over three hours. Initial dust and earth that quickly blew off revealing dark fruits and cigar box. Tart plum and cherry fruit roll on the palate. Medium finish. A full bodied Pinot with nice energy considering its age.

Wasn’t 2004 the year that Brian switched to screw caps, or am I incorrect?
Cheers
Silk, that is some old time Loring. Going way back for that. I’ve not tasted Brian’s earlier work in a long time.
Yes, screw cap. I would imagine that was a contributing factor to its freshness after all these years.
It was a nice surprise as I didn’t realize I had it in my cellar and thought I should drink it NOW!
16 years and still going. Well done Brian. Of course the fruit played its part.
