2017 Giuseppe E Figlio Mascarello Dolcetto d’Alba Santo Stefano di Perno - Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba (1/24/2020)
I found this to be a joy to drink right, moreso than the '16 was at this young age. There is a healthy dose of lean dark fruit, a tart blackberry note and concentration that really begs another sip on the palate. Medium weight and fairly open. Hints of dark chocolate and plum come on in the drying finish. So easy to drink.
