Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
There's also an 11% cash back on Retailmenot now. Just got bumped up from 7%. Worth seeing if it will apply to the 100/300.
Have put things in my cart at least 3 times and can't pull the trigger. Thinking moderate price ready to drink, Rhone or Bordeaux maybe. There's some Bordeaux that's ready but early.
On the high end these turn out to be good deals:
'14 Heitz Martha's Vineyard
'16 Ridge Monte Bello - gets the MB close to club price. Already have some and don't feel like spending on something right now that I won't drink for 20 years.
'10 Chateau Duhart-Milon

Signed up for WineAccess but never ordered. Today they emailed me a special $100 off first order of $250+. Combined with AMEX offer should be able to get $250 pre-tax for ~$115 after tax and coupons. Potentially worth signing up and waiting a week or two for them to send you the offer.

Have never orders and got that coupon in the mail. Actually it came to my wife who doesn’t even buy on-line and pays cash at the LWS. Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
So my referral for WineAccess just came through and I wanted to try some Burgandy. I enjoy Santa Barbara & Anderson Valley Pinot a lot, and havent had a lot of Sonoma but WA has 3 for sale. With the $100 referral/Amex credit thought i'd grab one or two.
Thoughts on any of them?
2017 Domaine Marius Delarche Corton-Renardes Vieilles Vignes Réserve - $85
2017 Gerard Raphet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Cuvee Unique - $160
2017 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru Santenots-Du-Milieu $175

"Up to 50% off" reds at wine.com announced today. Which means some prices are now reasonable so there are some pretty good deals with the 100/30 and 11% retailmenot.

It's funny how I mentioned that they shipped wine out of Sacramento when it was 95F, you mentioned that they just shipped out of Miami, but all people want to talk about is how to get the next deal.

Mine all ships from Houston - their Bordeaux has now been thoroughly picked over thanks to these coupons. Also means krug doesn’t qualify for discounts for me
The shipping window is closing, so this is likely my last coupon till the fall. Chateau Clinet or Bellevue Mondot? Remainder will likely be bollinger special cuvée / Billecart salmon Rosé...

Like Tyler, same story. I have a hard time thinking they have a shipping center locally. It seems like most of the wine warehouse biz is the Bay Area / Napa area for production/shipping/logistical reasons.

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
Tyler, you are correct. Most of my orders ship from Berkeley, go through Sacramento, etc.... Some orders have shipped from New York. I guess my point was that they shipped my wine right when the temperatures were going up (high of 79F in Berkeley when my wine was shipped, high of 95F in Sacramento as my wine passed through). I'm sure this is logistically difficult but they are selling some rather spendy wine and apparently not checking temperatures, just shipping it out if the customer requests it. I am sensitive to this issue because I live in Minnesota and a lot of my wine gets shipped from California over some very warm areas. At least wine.com has an option to ship at a later date. I placed another order to ship on October 1st, we'll see how that plays out. It's interesting that they don't charge your card until the order ships.Tyler Rico wrote: ↑May 17th, 2020, 8:40 pm I live close to Sacramento and all of my orders ship from Berkeley, which I thought was the only nor cal warehouse they ship form. There was also a 15% off new StewardShip at RMN. Hopefully, that works too.
With the $100 off coupon, $30 off from Amex and 11% (15% for StewardShip?) worked out quite well. Played around to get really close to $300, and saved $75 vs. K&L before the 11%.

gift cards do not qualify for cashback in my experience. you can qualify for cashback on a purchase made with a gift card though.

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
Not the best, but JD30 gets you $30 off $200 at Wine.com. Combine with the current 11% on retailmenot and you've got 26% off, though. ![shrug [shrug.gif]](./images/smilies/shrug.gif)

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
Got the $100 off $250 coupon from wineaccess. With the $50 Amex deal, I got 2 bottles of 2012 Bollinger Grande Annee for $57.50 each. And free shipping.
I feel like I stole these bottles.

Not as cheap as the 750s, but the 2016 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco magnums are also available with $100 off $300 coupons (despite ending in .97) for anyone interested.
