This is going to be a one-time code, yes.

Question for all you deal hounds out there, as I've seen mention of people using AMEX offers stacked with other coupon codes from the retailer. The way I understand it is that as long as I activated the Amex offer to my card, and the $ amount is over the threshold, Amex will see that I made the purchase and issue the statement credit down the road without me needing to take further action. Is that accurate? I hope so, because I just used it on Wine.com lol.

Correct. AMEX doesnt know or care about the discount from the retailer. You're going to get your Amex Offer triggered based on signing up for it on your specific Amex card and spending the threshold that triggers the offer. They will rebate you back the money a couple days after the transaction. Easy way to stack.

On this topic and as an interesting data point, I activated my AmEx offer while I had an existing order charge pending (this was back in early March) and the credit came through even though the actual purchase occurred prior to the activation.

I think this might be because Wine.com doesn't actually charge the credit card until the order ships, even though they put a pending charge on your card upon purchase. Did you activate the offer prior to shipping?

FYI
Astor has a one-day sale 25% off on Spain and Portugal "solid case" only. Looks like "solid case" equates to 6 or 12 of the same wine, depending on the wine. Maybe some decent deals here if you look around?! Cheers.

I've received the offer several times over the few years. But nobody can say for sure if they will continue to do so.

I received some of my bottles, but the last one (order date 3/4) first showed up as delayed, and now they sent an email saying out of stock and they won't be fulfilling. Seems to me like they still have some major systems issues as they were taking orders at least between March 4th and 6th (possibly longer) for which they are now reneging. I count them being over a case short at a bare minimum.

Yeah. I get the sense there’s some AI that factors in spending habits, offers used, and timing gaps to come up with the offers. I periodically have wine.com and various other wine offers that are cycled.

Chatting with them now. Same BS, different day. Why are they selling wine that they claim is in stock but its not. Even worse, the CS recommends some alternate bottles and those are even available. Its quite a circus at wine.com They don't know if the bottles will come in or not?

Good luck is all I can say. Their customer service is the worst I've encountered in the industry, both in terms of being clueless and not empowered to solve problems.

WineLibrary had this same issue. They pretty much say they can't guarantee the wine you bought is in stock and will refund it for you. I have no idea what causes these issues, but it's mind-blowing. I want aged wine, not aged retailing experience.

WDC had a similar issue for a small order of mine: they ended up having to cancel it, and gave me a modest credit in exchange. The CSR said there has been some issues with inventory in one warehouse being reported as available to other warehouses, and their shipping zones.

Teething problems seem to be still going on, 6mo after the new system rollout.

Per a post in the Produttori thread, the 2016 crus are hitting WDC if you're served by the NY warehouse. At $75.99 before coupon, they're pretty much at the low end of the market to start with and scream for a 50/150 or 100/300 if you have one. Hopefully they hit the CA warehouse at the same price, and while I have an unexpired coupon code or two. (And hopefully they don't have any inventory issues...)

Thanks for the heads up! In for a Rabaja and an Ovello.

Separately, for anyone not yet on the wine.com train, the latest referral promo is that (1) the person being referred gets $30 off their first order and (2) if the person being referred signs up for StewardShip and spends at least $100 on their first order, the referrer will get a $50 credit. If you plan to buy from Wine.com at least four times in a year, you will get your money's worth. I'm sure most people are already in on this, but if not, here is my referral code: https://refer.wine.com/Michael13144398

I've prowled around but was never able to find T&C for the $50 offer. Have you seen them? Is it actually a $50 credit, or -- like their regular referral offer -- just a $30 coupon off a $100 order. Given all their prior troubles with referrals, it seems to me that its not an accident that the exact terms are opaque.

It’s a coupon. Not a credit. Does not stack with other coupon offers.

Is it $50 off anything? Still decently useful for some $50-100 bottles.

No. Only bottles ending in .99 and minimum spend of $150 - it’s exactly like a regular $50/$150 coupon

I just came here to report the same -- 75.99 was almost perfect pricing. Picked up 3+3 of Rabaja and Ovello with the 3 50/150s I had left.

It's funny, I never thought to change my location and actually see what other people have access to. It's like a whole new world...
How do you change your location? Is it possible to order from another warehouse or are you stuck with he one that serves your area?
You are stuck to which ever warehouse they decide to ship from. Meaning if you are in NY and see wine that only shows up in CA, you cant manually force it yourself to ship it to NY.

2016 Sandrone Le Vigne appears to be available again on WDC (NY warehouse). I'm not sure what to make of it given the cancelled orders that others reported.

Unless there is a lot in stock be skeptical of their inventory system. Any time inventory is 2 bottles or less I expect to have my order canceled

When they cancelled your orders did they compensate you in any way? I've had about 5 orders of 2016 Scavino Bric del Fiasc cancelled and I think I've gotten at least approx $400 in various coupons and gift cards. It would have been nice to get that wine but I got a lot of other things with the coupons.

That being said I now have two orders in for the Sandrone. We shall see.

Wow, I feel like an idiot for ordering some 2019 BDX futures from them. Fortunately not much. How can a business operate this way and not go bankrupt?

I am preparing myself for disappointment with my Produttori del Barbaresco orders. But I still went ahead and ordered 1 Sandrone because what the heck. I have some 2015 Sandrone in the cellar and wouldn’t mind some 2016 too.

How do you get the credits when they cancel your order? Talk to customer service?

They have sent a $50 coupon or gift card when the order is cancelled. If I used a $50 off $150/200 on the order that does not get filled I get on the chat and tell themI've lost a coupon and I would like it replaced. Be prepared to place an order and they will credit the $50 after you place the order. It's been a good couple months on wine.com particularly around 2016 Baroli, Barbaresco riservas and Brunelli for me...

Deals on nice bottles at WineAccess

Here's a coupon for $100 off $250 at WineAccess.

I setup my WA account through a referral and then added the $100 off $250. I’ve been able to add multiple coupons that claim “first purchase” and had them all work

If you need to create a WineAccess account, my referral link will provide $50 off your first purchase (I get $50, too): http://share.wineaccess.com/v/matt_52

Here's a link to $100 off $250: https://www.wineaccess.com/2019

If you use the $100 off coupon, all of the following are Wine-Searcher low prices; shipping is included in the purchase price, tax is not.

2016 Mascarello Monprivato, $250 -> $150 shipped: https://www.wineaccess.com/catalog/2016 ... 51c2e71e5/
2018 Schrader RBS To Kalon, $400 -> $300 shipped: https://www.wineaccess.com/catalog/2018 ... 1f847e480/
2017 Schrader RBS To Kalon, $380 -> $280 shipped: https://www.wineaccess.com/catalog/2017 ... edca97d15/
2017 Trapet Chambertin GC, $550 -> $450 shipped: https://www.wineaccess.com/catalog/2017 ... 4d475925c/
Krug 168eme, $200 + add in another bottle for $50: https://www.wineaccess.com/catalog/krug ... a212cddb5/

You can, of course, use the coupon on multiple bottles. I'm highlighting the above because the coupon lets you achieve WS lows. Mascarello for $150 shipped is $50 less than the lowest WS price, for example.

100 off 250 is a great deal, but it's not working for me. I have an existing account if that makes a difference.

Same. Or it could be that I have 4 coupons queued, including 3x15% off...

If there's a limit on the # of stored promotions it must be pretty high. I have 12 stored.

Has anyone had any luck signing up for a new account (with the $50 referral) AND getting the $100 of a $250 purchase with the above link?

After signing out of my account, and clicking on the link above, the message at the top of the screen says:

"Enjoy $100 off your first purchase of $250! Credit applied at checkout."

When you get the sign up referral email, the message is:

"You've been referred. Enjoy $50 off your first purchase of $150. Discount Applied At Checkout."

Given that they both reference "your first purchase," I'm not sure you can use both. Once you sign up with the $50 referral email, I don't believe you can use the $100 off $250 email. If you use the $100 off $250 first, I don't believe you can use the $50 signup referral.

I setup my WA account through a referral and then added the $100 off $250. I am unsure why it’s not working for some. You can confirm you have access to both under My Account -> Credits and Promotions and you’ll see $50 off $150 and $100 off $250. Listed separately, not stackable. I’ve been able to add multiple coupons that claim “first purchase” and had them all work.

I just tried it again and it worked, except it added it behind two 20% promotions. But that's better than nothing.

Works now for me too! I tried before and it didn't work, but looks like the link was revised. Thanks for posting!! (I also have the same issue where this discount is ordered below a 20% off promo).
