Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
Full disclosure, I used to work for RetailMeNot and currently work at Rakuten. You cannot "double dip" by getting or trying to get cash back at both. Once you activate one on the wine.com or any other website, it disables the other. Wine.com pays an affiliate fee to either Rakuten or RMN whichever sent the customer to their site.
What you can do is use RMN or Rakuten and get your cash back and use a credit card that gives you cash back as well. That's a nice work around.

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
I saw that the CA shop added some Ridge and decided to make one last purchase, using a 50/150 coupon:bretrooks wrote: ↑February 13th, 2021, 6:19 pm I used a couple of the remaining 20/50 wine.com codes when the 20% RMN hit:
$52 for
2017 Beau Rivage Chenin Blanc Clarksburg +
2019 Cadre Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Stone Blossom Edna Valley (trying this on the strength of their Albarino & GV)
$53 for
2015 Domaine Giraud Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition
For those so inclined, the CA store has a handful of decent Loire CB options - several Huet, plus a smattering of Taille Aux Loups, Joly, Vigneau Chevreau, etc.
~$152 for
Ridge Geyserville 2018 $44.99 (limit 1)
Ridge Lytton Springs 2018 $44.99
Domaine Pinson Freres Chablis La Foret Premier Cru 2018 $42.99
Bodegas Yuste Aurora Amontillado Sherry (500ML) $18.99
While browsing around, I noticed that they have Allemand Cornas Chaillots 2017 at $269.99 - way out of my price range, but a wine which I've heard some around here enjoy. A $50-off coupon plus 20% cash back brings that down quite a bit...

Oops, I did it again. Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle #24 listed for $149.99 on Wine.com. Added Segura Viudas Cava for $9.99 to put me over $150. YT50 for $50 off $150, 20% off RMN and free stewardship shipping put me at $95.64 for both bottles delivered.

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
There was one this fall. I think it was 30 off of 100 up to 2 or 3 times. Recently, there has been more wineaccess coupons than wine.com - I pretty much always have one for wineaccess added to my card. Currently, they have the 20 off of 200 up to three times. Not great, though.Warren Taranow wrote: ↑February 15th, 2021, 7:02 pmMatt,MattYackel wrote: ↑February 15th, 2021, 6:27 pm Are you guys seeing these offers with Platinum AMEX? The Wine.com and Wineaccess offers never show up on my Amex Schwab Investor card. I used to have an Amex Blue Cash and would always get the offers on that card. Not sure if there's some way to get them to trigger. I get other wine related offers like Darioush, Stag's Leap, Winc, etc...MattYackel wrote: ↑February 15th, 2021, 6:27 pm Are you guys seeing these offers with Platinum AMEX? Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
* Private Labels that often punch far above their cost (even before your factor in discounts) sold exclusively at Wine-Access; after discounts they become arguably the best value buys in Napa
* Free shipping at 6 bottles or $120 in purchases
* Credit Cards (Amex mostly) run cash back specials that at least start off rather generous ($50 off $200, etc)
* Rakuten & RMN have cash back specials frequently enough to make it interesting although less so than wine.com (I believe)
* When their wines are on sale, they tend to reach wine-searcher "low" levels where you can then layer in the "% off" links and credits
NOTE: This extra mention is stolen from Toby below but bears mentioning here, the customer service at Wine-Access is absolutely stellar. And I, for one, got genuine value out of the wine reviews provided by Wine-Access affiliates (though they are not employees) like Amanda McCrossin.

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
They have amex offers that give anywhere from 20 off 200 to 50 off 150. You can combine that with the 50 off 150 referral bonus or the 20% off bonuses.
And their private label cabs can be pretty good

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
Yeah plus WA pre-coupon pricing tends to be much better, especially on their offers page which occasionally have really solid deals even without the 15-20% coupons. Wine.com has mostly terrible pricing, and coupons just make the pricing reasonable. WA free shipping without having to buy an annual pass is nice too, and customer service is excellent vs awful at wine.com (not a customer but based on a ton of comments on the boards here)

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
If you’re careful and stack the 50/150 or 100/300 (been months since I’ve seen that one) with Retailmenot 20%, nothing can touch the wine.com deals if you pick a sale wine.
That said, I like WA’s wines better and in general their prices especially at quantity are better, but unless you have referral credits not sure there’s a way to stack the deals like on wine.com
I’ve spent thousands at both this last year... whoops

Super grateful for all the codes!! Thanks everyone!
I've been buying a good amount of wine from the importer Beaune Imports (https://beauneimports.securecheckout.com/), based in Berkeley, CA.
Great customer service and a small but good quality selection of wines.
They mainly offer mixed half-cases but if you are a returning customer, you get access to order select wines,
So might not be for everyone but I have picked up a few daily drinkers and have been especially stoked to find a selection of Arnot-Roberts for $158 .
1x 2018 Watson Ranch Chardonnay (Carneros, Napa)
1x 2018 Trout Gulch Chardonnay (Santa Cruz Mountains)
2x 2018 Sonoma Coast Syrah (Sonoma Coast)
2x 2019 Gamay Noir (El Dorado, Sierra Foothills)

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
I tried ordering the 2016 Scavino Bric del Fiasc x 2 from wine.com with a $50 off $150. Order was cancelled. They gave me a $50 gift card. I also chatted with the on-line guy-Jeff and asked. if I could get the coupon replaced which he did. ($50 off any amount)
Went back and saw they had it in stock again and ordered 2 more with a different $50 off $150. Again cancelled. Chatted with Jeff designee and told him I lost another coupon. He gave me a code which I used already so it didn't work. He asked me how much I was spending and I said $300 so he gave me a $100 off $300 code which I haven't used in the past but it didn't work. He said put in the order and he would discount it so got a 2016 Dominus for $299.99 with RMN 10% off. So got it for $120 off.
Just went back on and saw the Scavino was back in stock so tried for the third time using a $50 off $200 after adding a Geyserville (plus the $50 gift certificate plus RMN). I'll be amazed if this transaction gets completed. Frustrating but they try to make up for it.
BTW the code for $100 off $300 was DMW21PROSPECT. Again-Didn't work for me but hope it works for you.

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
Question for those who use the Amex offers - they all say "once per cardholder." I interpret that to mean that if I get the same offer on my Blue Cash Amex and my Hilton Amex, I can use it on one or the other, but not both. In fact, I think if I "activate" the offer on one it then won't let me "activate" it on the other.
My wife also has a Hilton Amex on which she is the primary cardholder. On offers that I've gotten on one of my cards and she's gotten on this card, we can both use them once each and we're good. I've done this without a problem.
What has happened now, though, is that I've gotten an offer only on my Blue Cash Amex. Neither she nor I got the offer on our Hilton cards. But on the Blue, I am the primary account holder but she is an additional user and she has her own card with her own unique card number, but of course linked to the same account. Can she and I each use the offer once on our Blue cards, or now that I've used it, will it not work if she tries it with her card? Has anyone done this and seen the result?

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
If you can load the offer to both of the card because they are in separate login accounts, you can use both.
But you must use the card it’s loaded to. If it’s loaded to the primary, use that one. If to the AU, then you must use that card. If you use an AU card but the offer is loaded to the primary card, it won’t trigger.
There used to be workarounds for getting multiple cards on the same login, but they fixed it and started clawing back.
(Making the dozen extra AU cards I have no longer useful).

Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
Anybody have a code for Claudine? I am pretty keen to try but the only discount I can find is only 10% and a full case.
That's a lot of commitment.

I believe you get a $50 off $179 coupon if you sign up for their newsletter at the bottom of this page: https://www.claudinewines.com/pages/about-usBen Bruemmer wrote: ↑February 23rd, 2021, 8:36 am Anybody have a code for Claudine? Re: Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping.
niche case: if you have a Citi ThankYou Point card (from their own family, not a cobrand) look in the Offers For You section. You might see a button for Shopping, and then under that -- Merchant Offers. These are like junior varsity versions of Amex Offers.
They put a $20 off $100 Total Wine purchases in mine; I have almost never used those cards for wine purchases either, so those promos might be broadly distributed. Realize TW sucks in so many ways, but card level kinds of offers are stackable with other discounts that may be out there.
The interface for finding these offers is beyond clumsy, and like Amex they need to be activated.
