Yes, they have had that max for a while. You can break up purchases though, they will pay a max of $50 per purchase up to 7 times per calendar month.

This is correct. I know it's not exactly convenient since the content is spread throughout this very long thread, but most or all of these "catches" are discussed somewhere upthread. Depending on the order, your coupon codes, etc. you can sometimes solve this problem by placing more than one order. Even if placed on the same day, you can place two $250 orders during a 20% cash back offer and get $50 on each, as opposed to one $500 order which will just get you $50 once. BUT there's a limit of 7 transactions per merchant per month.

I have seen some of their coupons (only those with lower discount percentages) also have no max - like “10% off on any order over $200.” So if I were in the market for $600 bottles of wine, which I’m not, I could see using a coupon like that on a RMN 20% off day (if I didn’t know about the $50 max) to buy a $600 bottle.

It says that but still discounts the cart. Their promos seem to do that a lot. I think at least one of the recent 20% offers said that it was a discount off of your "first order," but then still works even for existing customers.

I've said this before but Wine.com's customer service really isn't that bad. I had them ship one bottle to a fedex hold location because I wasn't going to be home to sign for it. Fedex is supposed to hold it for 5 days before sending it back. Fedex sent it back the day after it arrived. So it was 100% Fedex's fault. Asked wine.com if they could just reship it and they said no problem and added a second bottle of the wine for my troubles. It was a Ridge Estate Chardonnay so not a cheap bottle.

Then, they didn't have a wine in stock anymore when the time came for a months old purchase to ship. I would have been okay with a refund and an apology. got a refund plus a $50 credit instead. They make a lot of mistakes but they always seem to make up for it.

Had $30 of $150 at Zachy's for 3 x 375 2018 Jadot Beaune Clos des Urules.

They didn't have 3, only 2, didn't trigger the offer.

I was annoyed they shipped without letting me know, but they were willing to have me send it back for full refund or (per my request), credit me back the shipping.

I took the latter being that the $150 is cumulative at Zachy's, so if I find something for $100, I can get $60 off ($30 off $100 fro Zachy's, and my Amex offer). The double shipping made that unattractive, but with only one shipping cost, it's ok.
