$40/bottle is a pretty standard price for Geyserville. A lot of the bargain spots have it though in the $35 range.
i don't see Geyserville selling at wineaccess, hard to find a wine at wineaccess. they are very limited
The selection varies a little depending on shipping state. Bevan Ont and Geyserville are still available in MD. WA was offering Geyserville for $36 if you buy 6+, take 20% off that and free shipping and it's a good price.
How to switch states at wine-access? also wine.com $38 for Geyserville with 33% discount. also free shipping

If you like high end Chianti Classico, 2016 Castello di Bossi Gran Selezione for $35/bottle isn't bad. With Tyler Rico's 21% off coupon, you can get it for <$30/bottle (tax included and shipped free if you buy 4 or more bottles)--I doubt you can find it anywhere for less.
I could get it lower at wine.com 2016 Castello di Bossi Gran Selezione, below $30

Yeah, wine.com is clearly better if you have promos, just saying WA prices aren't that bad. To change the shipping state click on the cart, then change the zip code next to where it says "shipping to"

I have looked up WA items and it's a lot better than CA. Opus one CA selling $520 and WA selling at $365

Where do you see that? As far as I know the 2016 Gran Selezione has not been for sale on wine.com in any state; the 2013 and 2015 have been on wine.com, but not for less than $45/bottle.

New york selling at $39.99, if you use all discount code and shopping portal can make it around $27 each bottle.

Bossi v. Meleto—two different wineries, about 10 miles apart in Chianti. (Gran Selezione is just a new classification of Chianti Classico, introduced in 2014, higher than Riserva.)

My bad, first time heard of this wine. Castello di Bossi Gran Selezione Chianti Classico only have 173 reviews at vivino.

Thanks. I took advantage. I had a number of cases in my cart, but ended up with just 1 case- Gigondas Domaine Gour de Chaulé - 2016.
Many of the wines are not a bargain, even with discount.
I was able to get free shipping, as well.

Abbie,

I'm curious, how did you get free shipping? Astor has some good wines, but typically shipping and regular pricing make even the discounts not such a good deal.

Thanks.

Whoever grabbed all the 2016 Brovia Rocche for $79 got a sweet deal. They had 20 bottles left of the Villero this morning at $75, which is also a pretty sweet deal.

A d a m S. wrote: January 5th, 2021, 7:30 am News of possible interest to wine.com shoppers/coupon-hunters:

For those of you in states (e.g., Maryland) to which wine.com has been (temporarily, one hopes) shipping wine from its Florida warehouse, where the selection is quite meager compared to the New York warehouse--

I've been running a little test each day, searching for in-stock wines under $70 but rated 95 or higher. For states served by the New York warehouse, 168 such wines are available; for those served by the Florida warehouse, the number has been around 25-28 for the past few weeks. But in the last few days it has been steadily rising, reaching 39 as of this moment.

Not sure whether this trend will continue, but there's always hope!
Jan. 7 Update: My Florida wine.com test is now up to 53 (and NY is up to 194). Who knows, by the time the next 50/150 coupon makes its appearance, there might be something worth buying on wine.com!

Well, I don't like spamming, but in Tyler's case he has posted a 21% coupon I haven't seen anywhere else, so I think this is different than those user who just list their referral codes without any added value.

Sharing working 20% off wine.com codes I haven’t seen mentioned:

Expert20 - $20 off $100
Birthday30 - $30 off $150
20Welcome - $20 off $50

Or, if you’re new to wine.com, my referral will give you (and me) $30 off:

Matt and anyone else: the wine.com referral counts as a coupon and thus can't be used with another coupon. That said, it is $30 off $100, so for a new user it would be better percentage-wise than the first two of these codes.

Hot50 for $50 off $150

Also, for first time buyers at wine access, my referral link is below which includes $50 off your first order of $150 or more with free shipping.

Any expiration date for that coupon?
Jan 15. If you put in the code and then return to the homepage it has a link with details on the top banner.
This trick didn't work for me. After adding the code in my cart, the homepage banner still showed only a different (and less attractive) code. So posting the expiration of any new codes, by any who can find the info, is much appreciated! [cheers.gif]

Lots of good stuff coming back into the Ca warehouse for wine.com, 6728 items as of this morning including a number of things that have been out of stock for a few weeks.

Also, for wine access, 2019 Arnot Roberts Syrah Sonoma coast Syrah is available at $36, great deal, below mailing list price and other retail. Even better with my referral link or coupons I’ve posted up thread.

https://www.wineaccess.com/catalog/2019 ... 9f9ec0ea3/

Another access coupon too, for those of you in the wine club, $25 off your next club shipment, can be used twice.

2019 Arnot Roberts Syrah Sonoma coast Syrah having the best price at wineaccess, but is it a good Syrah? It's only rating 3.9/5 at vivino

VIVINO reviews are pretty stander, customer review is better than those pros.

That's an interesting perspective. I don't generally pay much attention to customer reviews--on vivino, cellar tracker, or elsewhere. I haven't found them reliable or enlightening. I agree that some of the pros can be untrustworthy (e.g., the wildly inflated scores sometimes awarded by James Suckling or the meaningless 98s and 99s handed out to cheap Italian wines by Luca Maroni. But a consensus rave review by several of the pros (RP, JD, JS, etc.) has often led me to some fine discoveries. And long experience has made me put complete faith in the judgment of Kerin O'Keefe, Italian wine critic for Wine Enthusiast--especially when it comes to Brunellos, Barolos, and Barbarescos.

But that's probably a topic for some other Wine Berserkers forum!

I think in general I get better review off CT. I couldn't care less about the scores, but usually there will be at least one tasting note that seems worthwhile.

Additionally, CT has no reviews for the 2019 and says drink from 2023. So clearly you have varying perspectives on drink now vs. hold b/w CT and Vivino.

If you like AR, you will like this wine. I buy 6 of it every year. It’s a bit richer than the clary and que but super delicious.

Also, Vivino is confusing. It only has 1 review for the 2019 but the way they set it up you have to really look to realize the other reviews are different vintages. Maybe its just mobile. Also, pretty sure their rating only shows the aggregate of all vintages

I think Vivino ratings are by vintage unless they don’t have enough total reviews (and if I recall it tells you rating is not vintage specific when that happens). I find Vivino far less accurate than Cellartracker for whatever reason. My assumption is CT users are in the aggregate more serious about and experienced with wine.

cellartacker users french wine better than NAPA, vivino users NAPA is the best.

Agree to disagree, then. I find vivino reviews to be almost always worthless.

My thought exactly. Opened a cab last night that had a 4.6 with 200+ reviews on Vivino. Overly alky disjointed oak bomb - even it you love huge wines it was excessive...

I just read some reviews on Meiomi Pinot Noir on both CT and Vivino. It is fun.
