Just as another data point: I had a minor mis-shipment affecting one of my orders from December.

One particular bottle (out of ten) was missing, and there were three bottles of a very different wine I hadn't ordered in the case I received. I used live chat to contact customer service right away, and they promptly shipped out the missing bottle as I requested. However, I've asked them to send a return label for the other bottles a few times now...I've been promised that one was coming at least twice, but I still haven't received anything.

So, they don’t want their wine back?

They’ve delivered every order very quickly.
Yes, have had great experiences here as well (in NYC). Since they have a warehouse close by, everything is shipped the day before my desired delivery date and then delivered on the delivery date.

It doesn't seem like they're very motivated to send a label, so I guess not. The three bottles are of a $30-something Napa red blend, so maybe it's just not a high priority despite the 90 points from Wilfred Wong.

I hope you guys are right.

They shipped from CA my 2005 Pape Clement by US mail yesterday. Am worried because it’s snowing in WA these days.
I've purchased several times from them, only one small issue (wrong Chablis sent). They let me keep it and immediately sent the right one. They always ship FedEx to me. I only buy there with the coupons or if I can't find something I want and they have it. I'm surprised at those bad reviews.

Wine.com just dropped the '16 Insignia from $299.99 to $259.99, putting it at $169.99 with a $41 throw in and the 100/300 coupon.

Everything seemed to work pretty smoothly, for me, for my first order on wine.com

I think some of the complaints about them (online) are from people who may not be familiar with the constraints around wine shipping.

Normally between K&L & Garagiste (for online) and a few local sources I'm covered for my low level of purchases so I was a little pleasantly surprised to find a vendor that could fill in gaps. Spectrum of Rioja and Chianti seemed pretty good to me.

They sent me a whole case of the wrong rioja once (@30 a bottle) and just shipped me a replacement case of the correct wine after I contacted them, never asked for me to return the other one.

Last purchase for a while unless another rash of 100/300 coupons comes out:
Chateau Cos d'Estournel 2016 $239.99->$162 (WA100, JD99)
Chateau Laroque 2016 2 @ $34.99->$24 (WA94)

Crazy good deal! Used WABRCT1

Used WABRCT1

Worked for me.

I simply load up the "my wine" section with a bunch of stuff that I want. I can see what's on sale and manipulate my basket to get just over $300.

The 100/300 is the best way to get the Big ticket items like Shafer HS and Insignia. Can skip their overpriced clubs where you have to buy their other wines at over retail to get the good stuff.

Another good “Hillside“ is the TOR Oakville Hillside which you can use the 50/150 codes to get it down to $110.

Rakuten is doing 14% cash back today at wine.com, now is the time to burn any 100 off 300 coupons. I’m effectively paying 47% of list price + tax by stacking, it’s a bit of work but less money on wine means...more wine!

1. Befrugal portal to raise.com (2% cash back)
2. Raise.com gift cards (6% cash back)
3.rakuten portal to wine.com (14% cash back)
4. Wine.com 100/300 coupon (~33% discount)
I’m averaging orders as close to 300 as possible to maximize the coupon

Happy hunting, get it while the getting is good!

I use cashbackmonitor (https://www.cashbackmonitor.com/cashbac ... e-history/) to see when rakuten will typically raise the cash back rate. Last year on 4/15 they raised the rate to 10%, and on 5/6-5/13 they raised it to 15%. Of course, no guarantees for the future, but I would recommend stockpiling coupons that expire after those dates and pool all your orders on those dates in order to maximize the discounts.

What's this referral with wineaccess.com? I signed up on their site but haven't got any coupon from them yet.

Jeff, how do you get $150 off? It's $50 from Amex, $50 for sign-up if one can get that to work. What else?
