Nope, Fuligini. For a second there I thought they were the same family crest--but it's different.

These two will be really hard so I’ll give clues. I picked them because I poured both last night and the bottles are sitting on my counter.

Pretty sure that top one's gate says Concha y Toro so I'm guessing Don Melchor.

Yep. Until I saw it enlarged on the computer screen, I didn't realize the winery name was in there, so I guess that didn't turn out to be a good one for this purpose.

Similar vibe to it, but that's not it.

Since nobody has gotten it yet, I'll give a hint - it's a old school style California wine.

It was good. Steely, lemony tart, very light color, no discernable oak., good intensity without weight. Tasted like a good example of an old-school Chablis. The only negative was that it was not more complex - perhaps with some more age?

[Edit - just realized I should say which wine it was. 2014 Pierre Matrot Meursault Charmes 1er Cru.]

Well, it's only the third one I recognized, so for me it was great. I picked up Figeac, Tablas Creek, and Don Melchor pretty quick. I think I need to drink more obscure french wines, or get quicker with the reverse google image search so I can at least fake it.

We've suddenly left the safe shores of France, I'm now completely clueless (and having fun keeping notes of some wines to taste in the future)

edit : I know the latest one from Alan Rath but only because I friend suggested it for this game :D. You'll find a clue in the sentence just above though [snort.gif]

Nobody will guess this one. Not even Keith. Yea, that’s a challenge. Jayson might. And yes it is a real wine, I have about a case. Hint, it’s cheap. Damn good too.

Another hint, this is the center-piece of the label, not a minor section.

I redacted the names around the edges.
