2016 Domaine de la Janasse Côtes du Rhône Les Garrigues - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône (12/5/2019)
Had to change my note twice as this wine evolves. Starts with bright raspberry and cranberry, white pepper and mint, but evolves into a black fruited beauty with anise, black tea and leather with waves of complexity. Higher acidity. Great wine. Time improves these.
55% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Carignan, 5% Cinsault and 5% Mourvèdre. (96 pts.)
