Very good new article on Steve Edmunds

Really good article by Lisa Denning, on the Grapecollective.com website:
Wine Pioneer Steve Edmunds On Making Joyous Wines That Grab You

Yep. Read it this morning. Steve is one of those folks who deserves much wider acclaim.

What a fabulous interview. I’ve always had the utmost respect for Steve as a winemaker. I’ve only had brief interactions with him over the years but they were always delightful. I did sell him Syrah and Grenache one year (I think '93 or 95?) and he called the wine Redneck 101 which I took as the ultimate compliment. Maybe the general wine buying population doesn’t know who Steve is but people who matter to ME know him.

Casey,

That was more like 2005.

At some point, the years start to run together.

Cut me some slack boys not at my cellar at the moment!

Great article!! Thanks for sharing

Thanks Ken that is a great article.

Great interview! Thanks for posting Ken.

Great article! I never knew a bottle of Qupe had been such an inspiration to him and been the final push toward making Syrah. That is so wonderful to think about, and of course, fitting.
