TN: 2016 Alain Hudelot-Noëllat Chambolle-Musigny

Recently got a bunch of the H-N 17s in, so was inspired to pop open a 16 village and check in.

A lot of struck match, with tons of freshness and minerality up front – this aspect reminds me of the PYCM whites honestly, it’s a very similar character. Tons of concentrated pure red fruit, absolutely fresh and really very beautiful. Quite grippy at the back; my partner and I agreed that while wonderful now, this is a wine that has a long future ahead of it, and the stuffing to be a really excellent example of Chambolle going forward. Great juice.

One of my favorite producers. Thanks for the note.
