In their last ZCollection online auction, Zachys offered two bottles of 2008 DRC Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc. I was able to find some notes on cellartracker but no background on the bottling. Curious about the story. Anyone have any insight on this?
it is a charity bottling (proceeds going to the restoration of the abbaye de saint vivant) which is sold primarily through lavinia and caves auge. last time i tried a bottle it cost me about 50 euro and it drank like a wine of maybe 25 euro so don’t be fooled, this is not a grandiose burgundy experience by any stretch.
