Idk if that’ll work or not.

Can see it now (didn’t even see it as an item before) though shows as unavailable.

Snagged two 2015 Palmer at 249.99 and was going for a third before they disappeared, maybe still available in other states!

Did you grab any 2016 Lynch Bages?

2010 Montrose, PC, PB, Figeac are pretty good buys.

2009 Montrose too.

I picked up 2 '16 Lynch Bages $169->$120
'16 Cos was $240->$162 but now it's at $250.

Mixed results on stacking raise.com gift cards with rakuten cash back. 2/5 cash back posted for the pre-gift card total, 3/5 only gave me CB on the post gift card total, Ie $225 vs $25 for the 100/300 deals.

Pretty significant delta when rakuten is 14%, difference of ~$25CB per $300 transaction, less so when it’s 2.5%

I haven’t been seeing Rakuten cash back on any of the 100 off of 300 purchases. I figure 6% cashback immediately on raise.com is worth it.

Too late for the 14% on Rakuten. 2.5% when I signed up.

Some good deals nonetheless. Produttori normale at sub $30, Billecart Rose at $65, a mix of Bouchard GC and PC whites, some Guido Porro Baroli, Elena Fucci, and a few bottles of Port and Madeira.

I noticed that prices vary by state. Palmer was $380 to WA.

I just had the 14% rebate on Valentines day show up, and I used a 100/300 coupon. Took over a week.

Any experience / feedback on Duhart-Milon’16 and Monbousquet ‘15? 2 of each makes a solid order.

Yes, you are right on the Palmer's price at $379.99. Same price for CA as well. Retailmenot has 5% cashback.

I am curious to know if these $100 of $300 codes still work if you sign up for the stewardship program?

Most definitely! The free shipping makes this even more nutty. It’s been fun to say the least. I’m considering staring a “how’d you do?” Thread when codemageddon comes to an end.

Joe - what kind of wine and what price point do you shop? Are you looking for a few good wines or a bunch of lower priced wines?

Recent Bordeaux seems to be a good option with wine.com and the coupons, getting the prices 20-30% lower than the best online prices. I've been putting together this spreadsheet of some Bordeaux I've been looking at to help sort through the options. Based on wine.com availability shipping to CO and wine-searcher stores that ship to CO.

Wine, wine.com, WSP lowest, 100/300 price, % saving, $ savings
Chateau Canon 2014 $115 $110 $76.67 30% $33.33
Chateau Laroque 2016 $35 $33 $23.33 29% $9.67
Chateau Duhart-Milon 2009 $140 $130 $93.33 28% $36.67
Chateau Cos d'Estournel 2014 $150 $139 $99.99 28% $39.01
Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2015 $95 $85 $63.33 25% $21.67
Chateau Lynch-Bages 2016 $170 $150 $113.33 24% $36.67
Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose $80 $70 $53.33 24% $16.66
Chateau Canon 2016 $199 $174 $132.67 24% $41.33
Chateau Figeac 2015 $260 $225 $173.33 23% $51.67
Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port (375) '17 $60 $50 $39.99 20% $10.01
Chateau Lynch-Bages 2015 $160 $133 $106.66 20% $26.34
Chateau Troplong Mondot 2016 $165 $135 $110.00 19% $25.00
Chateau Figeac 2010 $300 $245 $199.99 18% $45.01
Chateau Cos d'Estournel 2016 $250 $200 $166.67 17% $33.33
Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2014 $100 $79 $66.66 16% $12.34
Chateau Pontet-Canet 2010 $290 $225 $193.33 14% $31.67

Thanks Philip,

For “daily” drinkers I try to stay under $30, for long term holdings under $300. I recently realized I had a cellar full of sub-$50 bottles that need some age and a ton of good daily drinkers, but not too much in the epic category (with the exception of ‘08 Dom).

I recently picked up a bit of Bordeaux for long term holding: ‘16 Lynch Bages (2), ‘16 Cos, ‘16 LLC, ‘16 Grand Puy, ‘16 Duhart (2), and outside Bordeaux, a lot of ‘15 Argentiera Superior (10 - went a bit overboard).

I’d be interested in anything ready to drink at $50 and less, or something that shouldn’t be missed. I like to have multiples but that’s a bit much on the Cos or LLC, although I’d love to have multiple copies of a delicious $50-$150. Unfortunately, I’ve picked over most of the recommendations that can actually ship to me but I’m going to cross-reference what you shared above. Thanks again!

I think they are both drinking wonderfully but would also cellar well, especially the Rioja.

I still think Bedrock ovz and LRA especial might be the best deals on there at about 19 and 22 shipped a pop.
Thanks for the recommendations! I don’t have a ton of cellar space, are either of these drinking well now?
My two cents FWIW. . .
Lots of ways to play these 1/3 off discounts, but the key as others have pointed out is that the post-discount price is a PDG deal. Some go for the big $$$ bottles to get them at slightly less big $$. The other factor is that state pricing and availability varies a lot. Here are some other moderate to lower price wines that should be pretty good deals post discount (depending on state) and should be tasty drinking from now to a few years (at least) IMO.
2016 Louis Martini Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
2016 Chave St Joseph "Offerus"
2017 Seghesio Sonoma Family Zinfandel
2018 Henri Bourgeois Sancerre Les Baronnes.
2017 AJ Adam Drohner Hofberg Riesling Kabinett
2015 Chateau Coutet Barsac, 375ml

A tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing

I think they are both drinking wonderfully but would also cellar well, especially the Rioja.
That Rioja is really good if you can get it. I’ve been drinking past vintages for years and it’s always good. I had it in my list but now it shows up as unavailable.

Surprised no one has gone for the $269 08 Cristal + a $30 bottle.

My most recent rounds have been for 2014 Bruno Giacosa Barbaresco Riserva Asili at 280 shipped to Oregon. Closest price online I can find is 325 plus shipping. Not an insane discount, but it's a wine I wanted to buy anyways... vs picking up something sorta random based on the deal.

But... $180 after discount is a pretty good deal at that price.
