#1 Post by bdlsmoran » November 20th, 2019, 10:49 am

Wine.com has the 2016 Chateau Palmer for $359.99. Use the promo code WINEABR1 for $100 off $300. Comes out to around $274 including shipping and handling. This code is good for most items not ending in .97. YMMV

If you have an Amex CC you should check if it has the $10 off $50 wine.com offer, to stack these two offers.

Wow thats the best coupon code I've ever seen for wine.com. Used it for a magnum of 2016 pontet canet. no ore of the 750ml left. Wish I could have used that coupon code more than once!

Where did you get that coupon code???

For value shoppers, they have the excellent 2014 Sociando Mallet for $37.00. Order 10 with that code and get a per bottle price of $27.99. Wow.

They should, but what they ship varies by state location, which is why there is a "ship to ___" tab at the top because that will change your choices.

Thanks for the codes! My family and I took full advantage...we cherry picked a few ‘16 Bordeaux gems, and then used the GPL and Domaine de Chevalier to get just over the $150 and $300 thresholds. Outside of a case of ‘16 GPL that I recently bought at auction, this was my first purchase of ‘16 Bordeaux.

‘16 LLC
‘16 VCC
‘16 Figeac
‘16 Cos d’Estournel
‘16 Pichon Lalande
‘16 Domaine de Chevalier
‘15 Grand Puy Lacoste x 3

$1300 for the 9 bottles, inclusive of sales tax.

In Texas, Wine.com has a terrible selection and even worse pricing. The only time I buy anything from them is when this sale comes out. With $100 off a $300 purchase, I can beat out local retail by about 10-15% once shipping is added back on.

I did pay the $50 to join the year of free shipping which paid for itself with the two orders. Their pricing is generally prohibitive so these are my first purchases from them but I figured the free shipping is a call option if/when they issue another great coupon.

I went decidedly less pricey per bottle than most. Huet x 6 (various bottlings mostly 2018) for $250 with tax and shipping after coupon is at least 10-20% cheaper than retail.

The Murrieta Ygay Gran Reserva 2009 is already on sale for $109 - buy 3 bottles, and the bottle cost comes down to $82.64. Not bad.
