Couple of nice bottles before we headed to dinner last night. Have not had a LGD since the 88 so limited experience with this wine; but they have a winner in 08. Lithe, elegant and delicate but with a crystal clean and packed core. Not showing much in terms of aromatics but the structure is there. This is a good value for what is in the bottle and should really age well.
The 98 LMHB is singing right now and in a super spot for my palate. If you have multiple bottles is a really good time to pull a cork. Showing some very nice aromatics, elegant and silky, packed and powerful yet in perfect balance. Youthful yet clearly an adult. Great stuff.
