- NV G. H. Mumm & Cie Champagne Cordon Rouge Brut - France, Champagne (11/15/2019)
This bottle was disgorged in September 2007. It shows why it's good to allow even basic NV champagne to get some bottle age to it.
Dark golden color with a mousse of fine bubbles. Palate dominated by yeast and bread dough, with some citrus coming out as the air worked on the wine.
A really outstanding bottle punching above its weight class because of the bottle age. I'm glad I have three more bottles left. (90 pts.)
