Nice Article on Pinot Blanc

Nice article on Pinot Blanc (with major shout-out to David Schildknecht) in today’s FT by Jancis.

It shouldn’t be behind a pay-wall but I am not certain: Subscribe to read | Financial Times

It is behind a paywall.

here not:

Thanks, nice article.

Count me as a fan of PB, there are fine examples in Oregon and California.

Same!

Kelley Fox makes at least two that are some of the best I ever tasted. Under the radar.

I’ve been a big fan of a couple of German Weissburgunders (Messmer’s GG, Seehof Morstein). Terlan Vorberg is quite impressive too, in a similar style. Eyrie does well with the grape in Oregon. So, I’m a fan overall. The only place that’s known for the grape where I haven’t found anything interesting is Alsace.

Often it is indeed unspectacular and you cannot really know for sure what went into it but I’ve had seriously nice ones from Gresser and Barmes-Buecher.
