Beychevelle 2010

Served with a gorgeous rib cap medallion. I wanted something younger with freshness to work with the richness of the beef.

And it showed beautifully. Lovely cassis, spices, andless full bodied than most 2010 Medocs, but with tremendous concentration and a very fine finish. This is really good, and although probably drunk a decade early, it gave a lot of pleasure on the night. 95

I really like these wines Mark. Nice note. Thanks!

Sounds lovely. I do like Beychevelle. It’s odd that I rarely buy it.

I had stopped by Mark’s before dinner, and tasted this. I was surprised how approachable it was- there was structure, but balanced so well that it didn’t get in the way of enjoyment. Lovely blackcurrant and black cherry fruit.
