Decanters for ballers only

#1 Post by Nate Simon » November 7th, 2019, 11:22 am

Rare Wine Co. is selling some exquisite stuff for those who want their decanters to cost more than their wines.
Your guests are sure to love them, your kids are sure to destroy them!

Those are great gifts for a wine lover.

Of course you can find them much more inexpensively at auction.

decanting for service is likely risk-free, but long-term storage is not smart:

The risk pales next to the rewards of "name dropping" a 1,000 dollar decanter.

I haven't looked, does Riedel make specific decanters for specific wine types?

If not, please send me royalties now that I have invented the idea.

I thought $150 for a corkscrew was crazy at one time.

With Roy, I see these as highly marked up as compared to auction results

I’ve at least seen them differentiate between cab and Syrah decanters in the vinum line I believe

Some new Baccarat decanters are pushing $1000. At least these are antiques.
