Sociando Mallet founder Jean Gautreau dies aged 92
Yea quite sad but a life well lived. Both an iconoclast and a traditionalist, if that makes sense. Made wine how he wanted to make it and drink it, not how the new market or the consultant chatter suggested wine should be made. Kinda like some other faves of mine, Levet and Juge, with Juge recently passing as well. Sociando is my go-to Bordeaux.
