2016 Quinta do Vale da Perdiz Touriga Nacional Douro Cistus

We went to Portugal in 2018. It was a tough year since my sweet Wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2017. This was her break from the year.

Since we spend our vacations running, hiking, and biking, we decided to do a half marathon while in country. We walked most of it, jogged a little, and I had to push her through a bit of it. It was an awesome day.

Part of the swag bag was a bottle of port (which was horrid) and the Vale de Perdiz. We did not have great hopes for the wine, but it has turned out to be pretty good. Definitely another high point from a trip that was in a bad year.

Life is good.

(General ramblings after half the bottle plus a glass of white Rioja)

We all hope your good wife is doing well. The TN sounds niceā€¦Q do Vale is top drawer imo.
