2018 Weingut Keller Riesling Limestone - Germany, Rheinhessen (9/23/2019)
– popped and poured –
– tasted non-blind over a couple hours –
– AP#: … 05 19 –
NOSE: lightly tropical and floral — somewhat reminiscent of Sancerre; honeydew melon; smells like it’s going to be acidic.
BODY: little bit of spritz; light green-yellow color of medium-light depth; medium-light to medium bodied.
TASTE: very high acidity — zingy; feinherb/halbtrocken presentation; 9.5% alc. is well-hidden; acidic pear and lime, with a salty edge. Very nice, but I prefer the trocken. Gut impression score: 90.
