Does anyone (Gerhard??) have any updates on the project to make wine from the St.Georgener-Rebe variety? This was the long-missing other parent (Savignan/Traminer being the known one) of GrunerVeltliner? This single/neglected vine was discovered near St.Georgen around 2000, subsequently vandalized (can’t imagine for what reason), rescued, and then propagated to see what kind of wine it would make.
The only reference I could find was a 2015 St.Georgen made by HansMoser. But no TN’s or anything about availability.
This may be too esoteric a ? for WB and I should take it to the WfN (Wines for Nubes) board where there are more knowledgeable people!!!
