From 375. Beautiful wine with very nice aromatics, ripe red fruits and a nice finish. Not overly complex but approachable.
09 EMH Black Cat Cabernet Sauvignon
I popped this, poured a few ounces, then decanted the rest, had glasses 1 and 2 hours out, poured the rest back in the bottle and vacuvined at 55, drank the last 2 glasses tonight.
On PnP, pretty tight, with reticent fruit and some savory/green notes.
After an hour, this began to open up, and some dark fruits emerged. The green notes faded and there were rich flavors of cassis and chocolate, which gained power over the next hour.
On day 2, the wine was more integrated and complete. There was plenty of fruit but this was more of an old school, elegant Napa cab. Very nice indeed.
