Pop and pour, very tight, slightly dry cherry fruit and strong iron. Flash decant and with 30 minutes of air, expressive nose displaying subtle sweet dry red cherry, a hint of strawberry jam, licorice, incredibly pronounce cinnamon and other baking spices, leather and iron. Excellent concentration, packed concentrated sweet dry cherry, unbelievably rich, round and warm, bright acidity, strong iron mineral, very fine tannins and an incredibly long rich dry cherry fruit driven finish with cinnamon and iron at the end. This is a classic iron driven rich Giacosa that reminds me the 89 Collina Rionda a bit. If you are Giacosa lover, you should seek this wine. (96 pts.)
