What US State Grows Your Favorite Grapes?

What is your go to State for your favorite grapes that have multiple States growing them?

For me:

Cab: California
Merlot: Washington
Pinot Noir: Oregon
Syrah: Washington
Zinfandel: California
Red Blends: Washington
Rose: Oregon (prefer PN Rose)

Riesling: Washington
Chardonnay: Oregon
Sauvignon Blanc: Washington
Pinot Gris: Oregon
Semillon: Washington
Pinot Blanc: Oregon
Rhone Whites: Washington

Same as you for Cab, Pinot and Zin. With Chard it’s a coin toss between California and Oregon. I’ve had more from Cali that I’ve enjoyed but am seeking more out from Oregon these days.

Sauvignon Blanc I’m going with Oregon. But that’s based entirely on Patricia Green’s bottling, which I’m totally smitten with.

Sauv Blanc long term, I think I agree with you on Oregon, but the WA ones from Delille, Substance, Seven Hills, Novelty Hill, and others hold the Cup
for now.

Pinot Noir: Oregon
Syrah: Oregon
Mourvedre: Washington
Cabernet Franc: Oregon
Nebbiolo: Oregon
Tempranillo: Washington
Mencia: Oregon
Rose: Oregon

Riesling: Oregon
Chardonnay: Oregon
Sauvignon Blanc: Oregon
Pinot Blanc: Oregon
Rhone Whites: Washington

Red Muscadine: Arkansas

Obscure. Never had one.

Cab: Washington
Pinot Noir: California
Zinfandel: California
red blends: Washington
Sauvignon Blanc: California
Riesling: New York
Semillon: Washington
Rkatsiteli: New York

I’m not a big Merlot fan and have too little experience with American Syrah.
