On this board, this seems to be the year of Champagne. Maybe it is because of Envoyer, maybe it is the excitement of all the new great growers in Champagne (reminds me of the revival of Burgundy in the 1980s and early 1990s). Don’t know. But it seems like there are more posts about Champagne than ever before this year.
So, as we are 3/4 done with the year, what is the best Champagne you have had this year.
For me, it is the 1996 Taittinger Comte de Champagne (or maybe a tie between this and the 1996 Rose Champagne by them).

Top 5 this year in order:
1996 Salon
2008 Dom
2016 Fac-simile
2004 Krug
2006 Comtes
Hard to pick just one so I’ll go with a perfect bottle of '73 DP and '81 Krug Collection Mag.
I have a few serious Champagne dinners scheduled before year end, so my favorite could change.
1999 Ployez-Jacquemart Champagne Liesse d’Harbonville
'64 Dom. Honorary mention to '08 Cristal to satiate the '08 hype.
