Given the rarity etc, I'd expect higher ... but I've been loving the very nicely priced wines from Once and Future that really outperform their price points to me!

I'm guessing 35 dollar range.

I can’t tell whether you guys are serious or are just looking to put on the “double reverse jinx”. Either way, keep it coming.

Joel said up thread there will be bottle limits.
Actually he said 2-6, depending on the wine.
Not sure what you’re correcting here? Yes, a 2 to 6 bottle limit as he said up thread.
Sorry, missed that post i guess. That gives me hope.

Using an inflation calculator, an item(bottle of wine) that cost $25 in 1995 would cost $42.12 today. My expectations between $25 and $100.

Maybe we can have them ship the whole lot to Berns and the Bezerkers could blow them all out in one night. LOL

For the price curious, I've picked up several older bottles on Winebid in the past 1-2 years. They were quite affordable with limited to no bidder competition:

1991 Ravenswood Sangiacomo Vineyard Merlot
$30

1996 Ravenswood Lalanne Zinfandel
$24

1996 Ravenswood Wood Road/Belloni Zinfandel
$30

2008 Ravenswood Teldeschi Zinfandel
$24

This is inline with what I was thinking as I’ve seen non premium prices for the brand often. I am hoping that they see it as a way to get the wines into loving hands (that were destined for the scrap heap) at a affordable price. Of course I’d like to see the winemaker make a bit coin after 30 years, but fair is the key here imo.

By "hit rate" do you mean good wines vs. bad wines? Joel Peterson said he vetted all the wines so I'd highly doubt there are any real misses here.

Yes! This is reasonable price in my opinion if Joel wants to sell all of his inventory and not waste more time and money on keeping them around. Sell all = more money in pocket in my opinion.

Don’t know/don’t care. I’m a buyer for sure, but Joel can do what he wants with his wine. I’d love to see low prices, of course, but I’m not getting in the game of predicting that which has already been decided.
FWIW, the Gregory Cabernet I purchased from him a few years back was reasonably priced in my opinion.

Library releases from wineries are usually expensive, and multiples more than auction. Given the demand evident in this thread, I’d be surprised if the prices weren’t on the high side of the range being discussed here.

But if I’m wrong, that’s great for you buyers.

Same. I missed on most of the Zins because I was too slow. Still an awesome haul of cabs, merlots, and blends though.

Should add the most I bought of any bottle was 2 - vast majority were singletons of the $25 variety, which only makes this all the more fun!

We're going to need a master thread for the Once & Future Ravenswood library release TNs...
