US 25% tariff on European wines; 100% "digital" tariff on French products called off for the moment

Basically everything except a Champagne is at 25%.

Matt -- It's "additional products," added because the original set of goods subject to the tariff fell well below the authorized $7.5 billion, apparently in part because exports of affected products to the US fell!

The new round of tariffs take effect today, January 12. The new round extends those 25% tariffs to wines from France and Germany that are over 14% alcohol (Spain dodged the bullet this time), as well as those in packaging larger than two liters.
