Is this ok: 2005 Jean Noel Gagnard Batard Montrachet

I don’t drink a lot of White Burgundy with age. Just can’t afford to have bottles go bad at the prices. I forgot about this wine, probably on purpose, but it is time to drink up. Does this producer have issues with oxidation? I wanted to take it to dinner with my wife on Friday. Thanks in advance.

If people think it has a low chance of showing well, any thoughts if the 1999 Chave Hermitage Blanc is drinking well? That would be my follow up wine.

major premox issues during that time frame. Check the wiki—whoops—I just did and it’s gone.

no oxidized notes for the 2005 JN Gagnard Batard on the white burg pages (note new location Alan)
and solid cellartracker notes

I’ll pull it out for Friday. I have thought about drinking it for half a year and think we will start with it at dinner. Thx

Travis,

I’ll give it a shot with you and bring a backup, let me know where lunch is. Seems like a main course vs. a starter. Don’t want you to disappoint loved ones.

I was thinking that with its age I would enjoy it with sweet breads and perhaps bone marrow. I wish I drank this kind of wine at lunch, my teacher’s lunch period is only 30 minutes.

On a Sunday…I’ll cover golf too.

Pull it and take a look at the color, can see pretty quickly!

I had one about 5 years ago; it was really advanced.

why no note on cellartracker? or the oxidized white burg pages?
It would be helpful
