TNs: 2017 Caroline Morey, 2015 Faiveley

2017 Caroline Morey Chassagne-Montrachet ‘Chaumees’ 1er
This is quite fine, ultra pure. Loaded with nashi pears, citrics and minerality. It is less solidsy than the PYCM wines and all about the pristine fruits and little white flowers. Lovely.

2015 Faiveley Gevrey-Chambertin VV
Not a cuvee that I have been familiar with but thought it well priced. Yes it is a lovely village wine, quite generous, with an abundance of dark satsuma plum fruits, a good lick of oak, and a balanced, sweet fruited conclusion. Very good drinking at this level and no harm in busting one today. Very approachable.

Nice notes on Caroline’s wines - I really like those.
