I recently got a bottle of 1982 Caymus Zinfandel, and got me wondering who the winemaker was. I know the old cabernets from around that time were made by Randy Dunn, but I couldn’t find any info saying wether or not he made the zinfandels as well. I sincerely appreciate the wisdom of the board members who might know this answer. Thank you!
I’d love to also know where those older Caymus Zins were sourced. I can’t remember if they were “Napa Valley” or “North Coast,” but they were very good.

Not meant to be snarky, but did you contact the winery? I’d suspect they’d be excited that someone is interested in their history, particularly one like Caymus that’s been around a long time.
