The wine prices there are pretty darn good. Julie and I self medicate with the Laurent Perrier rose… She hates flying! Nice on the Dom!!
We flew LAX-CDG business on a Delta/Air France codeshare. They were pouring NV Laurent Perrier in business and '06 Taittinger CdC in Premier, which was one row in front of us. I made nice with the flight attendants and drank CdC until I fell asleep. Best flight I’ve taken in a long time.
I had this in the KLM Blue Lounge. Really nice Rose.
And what did they serve in coach?
I’ve flown AF from CDG twice in the last couple of months. The first flight served Krug 166 and the second served ‘06 La Grande Dame.
The rest of the list was good, but not great. Far better than almost anything else you get in the air.
We did the one at SFO last summer–nothing there as special as the Dom.
Is there a menu of wine choices? Pls snap and share.

Did not look at what still wines were on offer… deals not bad using points.

Cathay was also pouring Krug 2004 in First this year…
…along with a whiff of tear-smoke now.

The champagnes were great in a recent Delta flight to BCN. However the still wines were nothing memorable.
Cathay First has rotated to Comtes de Champagne 2007 in F, at least as of a few weeks ago. About to find out what ANA F currently has on offer. I have proper glasses in my carry-on in anticipation.
