TN: 07 Pernot BBM

#1 Post by alan weinberg » September 10th, 2019, 10:07 pm

dodged the premox mine field that plagues this producer. Great bottle tonight, which I needed after 2 wineless weeks on call and a shitty day. Tight and full of nervosité, super citrus and white flowers, power checked and held in reserve, it is oh so young. Busy day tomorrow but I’m staying up to be sure this b gets finished.

This sounds wonderful.

I recently had a 2002 Pernot BBM that was stellar. Fingers and toes were crossed while pulling the cork.

A friend brought the '99 BBM to dinner this weekend and it was sensational. No premox whatsoever.

I opened an 04 a few years ago at an offline Burgundy dinner; it was absolutely spectacular. I love that wine when it is "on."
Glad to know your 07 is singing.

Does ANYBODY on this board practice multi-day oxygenation?

Where's your self-discipline?

Glad to hear it. I have an 01 that maybe has a chance based on your note.
