I dont follow Cali wines. How was the 2016 vintage in Napa? I am currently thinking of trying 2016 Honig Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley. A local wine shop has it for $37.
16’ vintage is absolutely outstanding.
Never tried their cab, but their sauv blanc is excellent.
Great value wine with lots of fruit. A crowd pleaser. They also make a reserve SB that is a nice step up from the regular SB
How many post vintage years should I be aging this before opening?
Wines have not gone up in price much. I remember buying this wine from mid 2000s for $32ish.
From my experience drink now or within 5 years. A friend opened a magnum of 2010 Honig Bartolucci vineyard bottling that seemed well past peak. I think these wines are made for early drinking
