TN: 2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru Charmes

  • 2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault 1er Cru Charmes - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru (8/31/2019)
Extremely tight to begin with, bound up by plenty of matchstick sulphur. Breathes up beautifully in the glass, revealing gently exotic fruits and a dollop of almond butter. It has a fruit sweet core, great shape and a line of piercing, minerally acidity. The finish is very precise and laden with chalk and lemon.

Nice note, I opened the 2008 tonight, took a while to strut its stuff, a great follow on from a recent 2011 Perrieres which was breathtaking MT

I reckon my bottle might have came out of your cellar Michael? Grabbed it off the list at Appellation.
