New book by Wink Lorch, Wines of the French Alps

champagne.gif As observed recently on another thread (but buried inside), Wink Lorch has just released her new book, the “Wines of the French Alps.” https://winetravelmedia.com/shop/

We have devoured it anticipation of an upcoming trip, and we find it just as good, and maybe even better than, her excellent “Jura Wines” book from 2014.

Indeed, in all respects, the book is masterful: Close to comprehensive, beautifully organized, written, and edited — and with politely critical and constructive commentary. Fantastic pictures and original maps. The closing pages include very helpful list of local restaurants and lodging.

+1. It is an excellent book and a pleasure to read.

Sounds like a good one. It’s a beautiful region to visit as well. We even named our kids after villages there!

The Jura book was far and away the most useful volume available on the Jura.

Both Lorch books are available now at 25% discount in physical and electronic form from Wink Lorch’s website https://winetravelmedia.com/
