Not having had this recently if I was in your shoes, without better advice, I would stand up in a cool dark place for a few days then pop it and start pouring after half an hour and take it from there.
Havent had the 85 canon recently, but other 85s I have opened in the last month (cheval blanc and palmer) have both drunk ok from a pop and pour and improved a fair bit with up to 3 hours of decanting.
I'm with Ian. The 85's can show their age, so I'd err on the side of caution. Assuming you'll drink it over a couple of hours, I'd only decant a half hour or so before you drink it.
