"The world's three largest wineries, all owned by the same company"

From Jamie Goode. Don’t really have anything to say, except that it’s interesting.

It looks like a refinery

His post seems to be missing a point.

Well, Alan…I’ve been on their wait list for yrs & have yet to get an allocation. One can always hope.
See you Thurs night.
Tom

Just think of it like a dick pic, but for wine.

If you can’t tell if it is a WINERY or a REFINERY, it probably isn’t something you want to drink!

Looks like they have room for expansion!

I haven’t bought any Gallo or Gallo affiliated wine for decades. Still, I don’t begrudge those who do. Well made wine (although in industrial quantities) at a good price point that millions of people enjoy. It’s a different market than that I inhabit, much the same as DRC at the other end.

I had seen similar pix of the Gallo “facility” many years ago. Truly amazing.

But not utterly unique. Here’s video of the Casella winery in Australia, where Yellow Tail is “crafted”:

I saw that series on HBO one of the giant Gallo vats melting down. No wonder my hairline is receding.

Wow, 27 times larger than Moët & Chandon. I thought that was too large.

Aaron Piotter is winemaker for this gem…

Row six from the bottom, third vat from the left: is the biodynamic division. It contains more wine than all other biodynamic wines/wineries in the world put together.

Pic won’t show, but it’s this pic.

If I lived near any of those wineries, I’d be worried about the wine equivalent of the Boston Molassacre.
