  • 2009 Domaine de la Côte de l'Ange Châteauneuf-du-Pape - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (8/23/2019)
Day 1: Past bottle have been awesome. This one not so much. Celery, funk, rust, muted fruit and soy. Not bad but certainly nothing like previous bottles. 87 points
Day 2: Many would have given up on this but not 3 Day Wine Review. So much better. Garrique, soy, raspberries, minerals, earth and chocolate. Medium plus finish, concentrated and balanced. What a difference a day makes. 92 points
Day 3: Holding strong. Nice funk notes, earth, soy, Garrique, minerals and red currants. Medium plus finish. A mix between Tradition and modern style. 92 points
Recommendation: Heavy decant for 3 hours and consume on day 1 or do the 3 day approach. Drink through 2025. (92 pts.)
