2011 Matthiasson Red Wine - USA, California, Napa Valley (8/14/2019)
I have had several bottles of this over the last few years, and it always impresses. It’s not a big wine. It’s balanced, red fruit focused, a little bit earthy, and with enough tannic spine to keep things together. Medium-bodied, and consistently fresh/energizing, it also has a long, warm herb infused finish. It’s delicious, and fun to drink.

Great wine and they did well with the 11 vintage.

They did. Cathy Corison also did really well. There are some bright spots in an otherwise maligned vintage.

I agree…i actually tasted through the 11s at both spots while in Napa when they were released and bought some of both.
