Tasting notes, varietals, grapes - anything related to wine

Popped and poured, enjoyed half the bottle over two hours. Deceptively light colored but has plenty of stuffing. Primarily Carignan, very elegant and earthy, with no over extraction or hard edge to be found and a very long finish. Great winemaking and a really pleasant surprise. Should age for many years on its balance. Will have to put a few more of these away in the cellar.
