2013 Lafon Clos de la Barre

Looking for something good to have with Parmesan crusted mahi mahi, I decided on this. The screw was tough to get started in the Diam that Dominique is now using. The wine opened with a bit of sulfur which blew off quickly, and the light green gold color suggested a much younger wine. Citrus notes with a light honeyed background, great depth and mouth filling finish. If premox doesn’t hit this, and with the Diam I hope it doesn’t, this will be a very enjoyable wine over the next several years. But don’t hesitate to try it now.

sounds great. And young. I think Diam is pretty reliable for at least a decade, based on Ramey’s experience.

Nice wine and note. As for the cheese and fish…my wife told me “If it comes from the seases it don’t get no cheeses.”

Had the 2013 earlier this year, and it was terrific. I’ve enjoyed most of the '13 white burgs we’ve opened.
