Vinous and full bodied. Rich, soil inflected nose with bread and a lemon underpinning. An ocean of soft acidity gives it freshness and lift. I honestly am not sure if this will make the longest of bones but it is excellent now and should improve over the next several years as the components meld. I had heard VC did great in 08 and this bottle would be proof positive.

At the price point of the 08 vintage brut, its a very good value for the quality in the bottle. I have not had any VC bubbly in the cellar for a long long time, but this 08 brut bottling is good stuff. Not sure I will cellar for a long time, as it already has somewhat mature-ish notes along with its rich freshness
