TN: 2002 Domaine Bruno Clair Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode

  • 2002 Domaine Bruno Clair Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru (8/7/2019)
An inviting nose of sweet red berry and cherry, freshly tilled black earth and musk. It is full, rich and layered, with a sensual velvety texture and good volume. There’s some chew on the back-end from the structural elements.

love this producer at the upper end—sounds like I should dip a toe into the shallow end of the pool. Thanks.

This is off their 100+ year old plot and priced closer to the diving board end down in our parts.

My note is on the 2002 by the way.

Whilst I have not had this cuvee from 2002, I have tried the Morey En La Rue de Vergy that in its youth certainly had some chew on the back end.

That makes more sense.
