How long to decant 05 Giuseppe Rinaldi Barolo Brunate Le Coste ... tonight?

How long would you decant 05 Giuseppe Rinaldi Barolo Brunate Le Coste tonight? I’ll be drinking this by 8pm central time tonight. Any thoughts?

I’d either start now (2:30pm CST) or don’t decant at all. I’d worry about a 1-2 hour decant. No primary fruit, maybe the wine closes up.

I would have opened this morning. Follow Peter’s advice.

Just opened opened and took a test sip & sniiff. Nose showing restrained aromas of violets and palate is zen like, silky, pure, gorgeous. Outside of the nose it seems pretty ready. I got rid of some sediment and may just pour back into btl and put cork back in.

Craig, I had this a couple months back. I think I just read you opened it already. I would do just what you did. Decant got sediment then back in the bottle It opened up just being in the bottle over 2-3 hours. I would not formally decant it, just let it open. Enjoy!

I had this bottle 2 months ago. It was great when tasted right after it was opened, after 7 hours decanting, and then on day 2. So, I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
