TN: 1978 Drouhin CDM Rouge

Opened this last night to serve with waygu rump.
Completely secondary with a gentle sweetness and great vibrant length, went really well with the meal. I dont think its going to improve from here but is in no danger of falling over.
I decanted the bottle and then double decanted after 20 minutes, the wine improved over the 90 minutes of dinner

Nice.

Wow. That’s still alive and kicking.

I just brought out a case of ‘93 from bonded storage a few months ago, the wine improved on the 2nd day.

I opened a 93 Volnay after the 78 and it tasted shockingly young (but still very good)
